How to choose a cable or harness

Pick the plug family first (the tiles above), then match the details on the plug you are replacing: the pin count, the male or female end, and the length. Bafang mid-drive harnesses and programming cables are system-specific, and several are marked UART only, so check which version your system uses.

A damaged cable often looks like a failed part. A display that flickers, a throttle that cuts in and out, or an error that comes and goes can all be a pin that has backed out or corroded, so inspect the plugs before replacing the parts at each end.

Before you unplug anything: turn the bike off and remove the battery.

Hub motor plugs

Count the pins in the plug on your motor cable, then match the group below. Plug codes are as listed in Bafang's spec.

9-pin

Bafang G9.x plugs

10-pin

Bafang G10.x plugs. Bafang's spec lists a G10.3 plug option for the G062 motor.

Bafang G062 750 W rear hub motor: plug to be confirmed. It is listed as 9-pin, but Bafang's spec for this motor lists 10-pin (G10.3) and 11-pin (G11.6) plugs. We confirm fit before it ships.
