When an Aventon display cracks, goes blank or stops responding, Aventon's parts pages sort the replacements into four models: the BC147, the BC201, the BC280 and the A280. Which one fits depends on the bike, and the model names are not always what you would guess. This guide sticks to what those four pages say, which we read on October 22, 2026, points out where they stop, and gives you a careful way to order.
The four displays Aventon lists
- BC147: three options, Abound SR / Abound LR / Pace 4, Sinch 2.5, and Soltera 3 ADV.
- BC201: for the Ramblas, in size S or M/L/XL, plus Ramblas ADV in M/L/XL. The page says it is programmed for either 27.5-inch or 29-inch wheels and includes a hardwired handlebar control pad.
- BC280: listed as the Full Color Display, with 18 options. The page describes speed, distance and pedal assist level on a color screen, with an integrated light and Aventon app connectivity.
- A280: also a Full Color Display, with one option, Level 4 ADV / Level 4 REC / Pace 5 REC.
Listed prices ran from $38.99 to $69.99 depending on the display and option.
Which bikes take which
Bikes that share a family name can take different displays. This is how Aventon's pages group them:
- Pace: Pace 4 (BC147); Pace 350, 350.2, 350.3, 500, 500.2 and 500.3 (BC280); Pace 5 REC (A280).
- Level: Level, Level 2 and the combined "Level 3 / Aventure 3 / Aventure M" option (BC280); Level 4 ADV and Level 4 REC (A280).
- Aventure: Aventure, Aventure 2 and the combined option above (BC280).
- Abound: Abound SR and Abound LR (BC147).
- Sinch: Sinch, Sinch ST and Sinch 2 (BC280); Sinch 2.5 (BC147).
- Soltera: Soltera SS, 7S, 2 and 2.5 (BC280); Soltera 3 ADV (BC147).
- Ramblas: Ramblas and Ramblas ADV (BC201).
The Pace and Soltera lines are the easy ones to get wrong. An older Pace and a Pace 5 REC, or a Soltera 2.5 and a Soltera 3 ADV, sit under different displays, so match your exact model name, including any ".2" or ".3" suffix.
A careful way to order
These steps are our general advice, not Aventon instructions.
- Identify your exact model first. The BC280 page lists Pace 350, Pace 350.2 and Pace 350.3 separately, so "Pace 350" alone is not enough. If you are unsure which version you own, ask Aventon support before you order.
- Photograph the old display, its label and its connector before you touch anything.
- For a Ramblas, match the frame size. The BC201 page asks you to select your bike size but does not say which size goes with which wheel size, so ask if you are unsure.
- Switch the bike off and remove the battery before you unplug anything, following your owner's manual. Keep the old display until the new one is tested, and do not force a plug that does not seat easily.
What the pages do not say
None of the four pages explains how to remove or install a display. The BC280 and BC201 pages mention syncing with the Aventon app, but none of the four says whether a replacement display must be paired or set up for your bike, whether ride history carries over, or whether any generic or third-party display will work. We could not find those answers from Aventon, so this guide does not claim that a generic display fits any of these models, and it publishes no pin charts or wiring details. If your bike is a newer connected model, ask Aventon whether a new display needs any set-up before you buy.
Check that the display is really the problem
A display that shows an error code is reporting a fault, which is not always a failed display. Our guide to Aventon error codes explains the three systems behind them, and our e-bike repair online page walks through a three-minute diagnosis. A blank screen can also come from a flat or loose battery or a loose display cable, so check those first. For how the motor, controller, display and sensors fit together, see our e-bike electrics 101 guide.
Where RideRow fits
As of October 22, 2026, RideRow does not list any Aventon display, and nothing in this guide says a RideRow part replaces one. If your repair involves connectors, throttles, sensors or wiring, you can browse our e-bike spare parts.
