A left and right pair of cable-pull brake levers with a built-in motor cut-off switch. Pull either lever and the controller cuts motor power immediately, a standard safety function on Bafang systems. Each lever has a 30 cm lead ending in a 3-pin waterproof male plug that mates with the female brake leads on the standard 1T4 harness used by Bafang BBS01B, BBS02B and BBSHD mid-drive kits, and by Bafang hub-motor kits wired the same way.
These levers are for cable-actuated brakes: V-brakes and mechanical disc brakes. They are not for hydraulic brakes. Check the clearance next to your throttle and shifter before ordering, and confirm your handlebar is 22.2 mm.
Before you order, unplug your current brake lead and look at the plug. It should be a 3-pin waterproof female connector. Older BBS wiring with 2-pin brake plugs needs a 2-pin to 3-pin adapter, which is not included.
After installing, always test the cut-off before riding: lift the rear wheel, turn the pedals with assist on, then pull each lever. The motor must stop at once. Allow 30 to 45 minutes including cable setup and brake adjustment.
