If your Rad Power Bikes e-bike needs a part, the first place to look is still Rad's own website. The brand kept trading after its bankruptcy and its spare-parts page is live. What that page stocks, and what it leaves out, decides whether your repair is a quick order or a sourcing job. We went through all 66 listings in Rad's spare-parts collection on October 19, 2026.
Where Rad stands today, in dated facts
Rad Power Bikes, Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on December 15, 2025. Life Electric Vehicles acquired certain of its assets, and the brand now runs under a company called Rad Life Mobility. Rad's warranty page says the brand has been under new ownership since February 27, 2026; Life EV's press release announcing the completed acquisition is dated March 5, 2026. On the day we checked, Rad's website listed eight bike models for sale.
Rad's warranty page (last updated May 14, 2026) also states that the new owner "has no obligation to provide warranty or other service for Products purchased prior to December 15, 2025," and points owners of those bikes to the bankruptcy case, No. 25-02183. We will not interpret what that means for your bike. Read the page against your own purchase date.
What the official store does sell
- Batteries and charging (7): four Safe Shield batteries (one out of stock when we checked), a charger listed as MY2025, a RadKick charger and a charge-port cover.
- Lights (15): eight headlights and seven taillights, mostly model-specific.
- Brakes (7): four types of pads, a cable kit, levers and a RadExpand 5 Plus rotor.
- Tires and inner tubes (21) in a wide range of sizes.
- Contact points and drivetrain (14): seats, grips, pedals, crank arms, a chain, Shimano shifters, shifter cables, kickstands and RadMini fenders.
- Everything else (2): replacement keys, requested through Rad's Help Center, and one front wheel for the RadCity 5 Plus.
Before you click buy: 54 of the 66 listings state that spare and replacement parts are not eligible for returns or refunds. Confirm the fit before you pay.
Check the battery tags first
Each listing is tagged with the models Rad says it fits. The batteries are tagged for the recent lineup (RadCity 5 Plus, RadRover 6 Plus, RadRunner 1, 2, Plus and 3 Plus, RadWagon 4 and 5, RadExpand 5 and 5 Plus, Radster, RadTrike and RadKick) plus a few older bikes such as the RadRover 5, RadMini 4 and RadMission 1.
But 24 older model tags that appear elsewhere on the same page have no battery tagged to them, including the RadRover from 2015 to 2019, the RadCity from 2017 to 2019 and the RadCity 4, the RadWagon from 2015 to 2019, and the RadMini from 2016 to 2019. The MY2025 charger is tagged for all 24. A missing tag is not an official statement that no battery exists for your bike, only that the store does not list one, so ask Rad's support before you assume either way.
What you will not find: the electrical core
There is no controller, display, throttle, pedal-assist sensor, wiring harness or motor anywhere in the 66 listings. Those are the parts behind most "won't turn on," "no assist" and error-code repairs. We found no official statement on whether Rad's support team can supply them on request, so ask before you look elsewhere.
One smaller gap: the brake lever listing does not say whether it includes the motor cutoff switch. If a brake sensor may be holding your motor off, ask before you order, and use our brake sensor guide to confirm it first.
Sourcing the electrical parts yourself
Outside Rad's store you match parts by specification, not by model name:
- Diagnose before you buy. Make sure the part you replace is the one that failed. Start with our online e-bike repair diagnosis and the Rad Power error code reference.
- Treat controller and display as a pair. They talk over a communication protocol, and two parts that plug together can still refuse to work together. Buy a matched set unless you know both speak the same protocol, and identify your display model first.
- Read the connector, not the label. Count the pins, note the plug gender and photograph the wire colors. Our plug guide shows the common types.
- Know your generation. Many Rad bikes from roughly 2021 onward use frame-integrated controllers and model-specific harnesses, which leaves far less room for third-party parts. See which Rad Power models can use an aftermarket controller kit.
When you are ready to compare, browse our e-bike spare parts and check every spec and connector against the part on your bike now. For the wider picture, see where to get Rad replacement parts after the bankruptcy.
