Controllers

Replacement e-bike controllers. Match by voltage, current rating and connector type — see the fitment table on each product page before you buy.

How to choose a replacement controller

  • Voltage. The controller must match the battery's nominal voltage.
  • Current. A higher current rating means more torque, but the battery has to deliver it and the motor has to absorb it.
  • Display protocol. The display and controller must speak the same protocol; a screen that lights up can still fail to talk to a new controller.
  • Plugs and wires. Check the motor phase and hall plugs, the throttle, brake and display plugs, and the thin key switch wire.

Before buying, prove the controller is the fault: brake sensors, throttles and loose plugs imitate a dead controller.

Before you unplug anything: turn the bike off and remove the battery.

Guides: controller, display, or both, why displays and controllers must share a protocol, new controller won't power on and upgrading controller amps.
