Our fit guarantee covers parts we confirm from your photos (free). Without that check, electrical parts can't be returned once connected.
Not sure? Send photos — we check before you payLights, horns, USB ports and other 12 V accessories on a high-voltage e-bike run from a DC-DC converter that steps the battery voltage down. When it burns out, the accessories die. This converter takes a 72 V pack, also 60 V and 48 V, down to a steady 12 V at up to 10 A (120 W).
Key facts as stated by the manufacturer: 12 V output within 2 percent, 10 A, 120 W, efficiency at least 95 percent, ripple 50 mV, start-up delay under 2 s, over-current, overload, short-circuit and over-temperature protection, operating range -40 to 80 C, compact aluminum case with epoxy potting, 264 g. It is a non-isolated module.
Check before you order: the manufacturer quotes the input range as 30 to 90 V in one place and 40 to 90 V in another, so for safety treat 40 to 90 V as the working range and do not use it on a 36 V pack. The 12 V side must not draw more than 10 A. This item is a bare module with wires, so it needs fuse protection and proper connectors; polarity must be correct.
Disconnect the battery before wiring, and fuse the input.
