A Y-splitter lets one two-pin harness connection feed two parts, for example a headlight and a second light, or a sensor and a display, without cutting any wires. This cable has two female two-pin plugs on the branches and one male two-pin plug on the trunk, so it plugs into a harness socket and gives you two sockets in return.
Key facts as stated by the manufacturer: two-pin Julet-style round waterproof plugs, IP65, copper conductors with gold-plated contacts, 24 in (61 cm) overall or a shorter 7 in (18 cm) version. The manufacturer lists it for lights, brake sensors, gear sensors, throttles and other low-current accessories on conversion kits.
Check before you order: this is the 2-female-to-1-male version, so the trunk plug is male. Count the pins on your plug (two here) and check the sex of the harness socket you want to branch. Both branches share one connection and one signal, so do not split a throttle or a speed signal and expect each branch to work independently. Not for motor or battery wiring.
Installation takes a few minutes: switch the battery off, unplug the part, plug the trunk into the harness and each branch into a part, then secure the cable with zip ties.
